24 hour Core training track – Join us to learn more about what Peace House does and how you can help us to make a difference for survivors of domestic and sexual violence. This training is ideal if you would like to provide much needed administrative support, assist with our public awareness events or support our essential fundraising efforts.
Our training tracks require a commitment to attend all sessions in person on the advertised date (or arrange a catch up session where possible). We appreciate that the training tracks are involved and lengthy in nature. We want all volunteers who may represent Peace House, and come into contact with survivors, to be as prepared and as equipped as possible for their own benefit and for the benefit of victims. While we very much hope that all who attend our training program will identify a way to work with Peace House on an ongoing basis, we are also aware that this work can be very triggering and that this may not be possible. We encourage all potential volunteers to discuss their questions in advance with our Volunteer recruitment team so we can help you determine how best to join us.
The trainings take place at Peace House on the following dates:
Wednesday, June 7 5:00 PM - 9:00 PM
Saturday, June 10 9:00 AM - 5:30 PM
Wednesday, June 21 5:00 - 9:00 PM
Saturday, June 24 9:00 AM - 5:30 PM
